Hi!

I'm Rus (or Alan if we're being formal), owner of Rus Tech Bike Repairs.

I have over 20 years experience in bike repairs and servicing - my first mechanic's job was in 1995 at Cycling World in Aberdeen where I gained the relevant qualifications. This was followed by different bike-related positions throughout Scotland, and work that took me to trade shows and tech support at international events. Together with my love of mountain biking, it's fair to say that bikes are a way of life for me.

Days off you'll usually find me out on a hill somewhere, sometimes with the Rus Tech trail dog, Luna, chasing me down the trails....when she's not too distracted by a decent stick or muddy puddle of course.

I love working on all types of bikes, from the classics (1992 GT anyone?) to the latest high-tech bikes that the industry has to offer, and everything in between.

And of course, speccing and building new bikes is always fun. 

​
